Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information TidyCents collects, why, and how it's handled when you use the Money Leak Score, TidyBudget, TidyExpenses, TidyEnvelopes, Budget Plan Agent, Money Reset, printables, worksheets, the TidyCents letter, or any other tool or content offered under the TidyCents brand (together, the "Tools").

1. The short version

The financial figures you type into TidyBudget, TidyExpenses, TidyEnvelopes, Money Leak Score, Money Leak Finder, or Money Reset — your income, bills, envelopes, spending, or any other numbers — stay on your own device. They are never uploaded to us, and we never see them. The only personal information we collect is what you give us directly, such as your email address when you request a free tool or subscribe to the newsletter.

Budget Plan Agent works differently: it runs as a conversation inside ChatGPT or Claude, so the numbers you type there are sent to OpenAI or Anthropic as part of that conversation, not to us. We still never see or store them, but they don't stay purely on your device the way the other Tools' data does — see Section 4.

2. What we collect

• Email address — when you request a free tool (such as the Money Leak Score), sign up for printables or worksheets, or subscribe to the TidyCents letter.
• Purchase information — if you buy a paid Tool, our payment processor handles your payment details; we receive confirmation of the purchase but not your full card details.
• Basic technical data — standard web server logs (such as IP address and browser type) generated automatically when you visit our pages, used only for security and troubleshooting.

We do not collect, upload, or store the financial figures you enter into any Tool. Tools that ask about your income, spending, debts, or budget process that information locally in your browser only.

3. How we use it

• To send you the free tool or file you requested.
• To send the TidyCents letter, if you've subscribed — typically a short welcome series followed by roughly one email a week.
• To deliver a Tool you've purchased and provide related support.
• To keep the Tools secure and working properly.

We do not sell your email address or any other personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Third-party services we use

We rely on a small number of trusted third-party services to run TidyCents:

• SendFox — handles our email newsletter and opt-in forms. When you submit your email through a form on our site, it is stored in SendFox on our behalf. See SendFox's privacy policy.
• Google Fonts — used to load the typefaces on this site. Loading a font may involve a request to Google's servers.
• Payment processor — used to process purchases of paid Tools; they handle your payment details directly, not us.
• OpenAI (ChatGPT) and Anthropic (Claude) — Budget Plan Agent runs as a conversation inside one of these platforms. Anything you type there is handled under that platform's own privacy policy, not ours — we don't receive or store it.

5. Cookies

Our pages use only the minimal cookies or local storage needed for the Tools and forms to function — for example, so a Tool can remember your entries on your own device between visits. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Data retention

We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed or until you ask us to delete it. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time using the link in that email. Purchase records are kept as required for accounting and legal purposes.

7. Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area (or anywhere with similar data protection law), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in Croatia, the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).

8. Children's privacy

The Tools are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Tools after a change means you accept the updated policy.
